While I know it isn't, I hope it would, that way I can have my family back...

I swear, Facebook is a drug and it isn't healthy. Some people just don't know how to get away from it.

At home: Go on Facebook
In the car: Check Facebook with smartphone
Taking a shit: See above
Trying to relax and watch a movie?: Of course the bitch has to make me pause because she heard the stupid noise letting her know someone messaged and we all know in this day and age Facebook comes first...

I miss the world back when people lived life not worrying all day long about what the hell everyone else was doing...  You even try to have a nice day, take some pictures, then everything stops for a little while because those pictures NEED to be uploaded to Facebook ASAP, then a little while later everything must stop again because you NEED to see if those pictures have comments on them yet...

Such a sad state we are in right now IMO. But me? I don't care what everyone else is doing, just like I don't care to let everyone know what I am doing. If they really cared, they know where to find me.

Now all I need to do is start moving myself away from here and then I am pretty much free from the chains of the internet.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Hate Facebook with a passion.

Reason for that is because I have noticed more now then ever before it is just a cock waving contest in electronic form. You get three sets of people I have found.
The first group are decent people who you know well and will comment on a photo or something every month or so. You then got the second group who seem obssesed with updating their status every five seconds. With just utter stupid crap like "lol at tv", or something like that. It is just attention seeking and really drives me up the wall. And the third group is sad loners who can't meet someone in the real world so use it to be creepy and perv over women/guys. Messaging random people just because they like the photo. It is the last two groups that have ruined Facebook for me.

A month or two ago I had a proper Facebook cull of people I know but have not spoke to in years. I was sick of girls who I went to school with poking me so removed that feature. Deleted anyone who is one of those who types stuff like "the world sucks" or anyone else who is just mega negative all the time. And have to say I was down to about 250 friends but all of them I am very good friends with, meet up and talk to when we can.
It seems a lot better now.

So I don't think it will die as such but I think the whole "need to have 3 billions friends" thing is deffinatly dying. And good.

@pezus- google+ has the following advantages going for it when compared to Facebook, and the difference is glaring, I'm afraid

-google has waaaaaaayyyyy more capital, so they have a lot more options to do things when they want to
- google+ has android integration or will soon, so after one click on the smartphone screen, users are directed to google's social media
- google+ integrates with YouTube and google music and google maps
-google has recently started its "search plus your world" campaign which directs users to google plus, so google is leveraging its search strong point

Facebook advantages
-games. (well msft and goog can buy help here if they want it believe me)

You forgot to name Facebook's biggest advantage: People actually use it.

Signature goes here!

I have Google+ and Facebook accounts and i rarely use Google+, i dont like the design, we cant have friends just members or whatever that thing is its lame... Facebook is way better to share and to all sort of things but i dont rather if both die, actually i think facebook has destroyed many of society life with teenagers since everyone is based these days on facebook and girls post pics almost naked to whatever-they-want-to-achieve-with-that-pos lool

Anyway Facebook and Microsoft seem to have a great relationship...

Alot of interesting opinions in there! Maybe Facebook isn't really dying but will it be able to support the constant growth investors wants for a public company..? I don't think so.

I hope it eventually dies or at least turns into myspace. I gave up on it a long time ago and deleted my account since I really don't give a shit about most people. Best to have 3-4 good friends and family. More people, more problems...

Wow, Seinfeld even relates to post modern world past landlines and answering machines.  Amazing that human relations haven't changed by much in the past two decades or so.
