Forums - General - What's the hottest day you've been through?

I cannot read any of this.

When I was in Kuwait it was 134 degrees Farenheit! But with a small wind, burning sand and whatever else that is involved you are much much hotter, and the thermometers actually missread that it is warmer.

Iraq was hot as hell as well! But that was a dry heat. When I lived in Tennessee the humidity was so bad , that it felt twice as hot there than it did in Kuwait! I was sweating in minutes and just wanted some good old A/C! Humidity is the worst! Move to the West Coast people!!!

Sorry like I said, I do not remember the F/C or even F/ Kelvin formula.

you just need to type in google:

... Fahrenheit in Celsius

I've been in 48 degrees in Dubai. Been in turkey quite often during 40-45 degree days.

You don't even need to do that. Type in "100 f in c" or "20 c in f" and it'll know what you're talking about. How's that for laziness?

Anyway, the hottest day I can remember actually knowing the temperature for was 106F/41.1C. That was the only day my parents ever bought KFC. Aside from that, I may have experienced a few hotter days in the desert type lands in the south western US on various trips.

OP are you with a union? unions do not let their union members work if it gets too hot.
excessive heat is an operational health and safety nightmare.
hopefully common sense wins out: tools packed up and time to go home and take a cold shower and drink ice cold beer.

The hottest place I've ever been was Palm Springs, California. One day it got up to 117 F (47.2 C), and we all decided that it was movie day haha.

Now I live in North Carolina where it doesn't get close to being as hot as it did in California... but now we have to deal with humidity. And humidity sucks big time.

35 - 40ºC here in cape town over the last few days...

But i think this is a result of a recent solar flare that happend yesterday and increased solar activity been happening for the last year or so which might explain the crazy aus weather too?

Edit: Just for a reference, our highest is usually 29 - 34

48ºC in the middle of the desert in Dateland, Arizona.

I once was in Las Vegas and it was 120 F, which converts to 48.8 C.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
