The hottest place I've ever been was Palm Springs, California. One day it got up to 117 F (47.2 C), and we all decided that it was movie day haha. 
Now I live in North Carolina where it doesn't get close to being as hot as it did in California... but now we have to deal with humidity. And humidity sucks big time.
