not how I roll I am assuming the best for Nintendo and worst for MS, if I did what you said I would have gone for
Wii U = N64
X720 = PS2
PS4 = GCN

Stick to PC tech discussion. That's obviously your area of expertise, not console tech.

Lol, you seem to think that next gen can't be a proper leap, you are wrong. We know virtually nothing about what PS4 and Xbox next has ATM but we know that Wii U is within 2-3x the power of the 360 bassed on current data. The tech is there today to make a PS2 to PS3 size leap in power but that is unlikely at this point due to cost but we should see a Xbox to 360 size leap for both MS and Sony next gen that will allow them to launch at a $399-$549 depending on factors like HDD and whether they want to take a loss.
While I know more about PC tech than console I would warrent I know more about console tech than you, reading about this stuff is a hobby of mine.

What the f*ck is this!? What kind of journalism is this!? The frigging things haven't even been officially announced yet. What a load of shit.

What type of processing power? If you are referring to the CPU, which I guess you are, you are wrong.
Dead wrong too. |
I don't want to get too geeky, but there are still comparisons going on about the hardware.

Look at the date of the article. It is January 7th 2012, we are 6 years in this generation and there are still people debating. This source claims to get all the information and comparisons done 18 months BEFORE even one of the two system launched? No way Jose!
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Debating what exactly? I don't see the point of that article or how it relates to the power of the PS3 and the Xbox 360.

| JGarret said: So, if they´re correct about the 'X720' launching late 2013 and being available months before the PS4, then 2014 for the PS4. WiiU --- late this year X720 --- late next year PS4 --- spring 2014? Sounds reasonable. |
March/April 2014 for PS4 in the West maybe. I think Sony will do what it usually does and launch in Japan and selected Asia markets 6 months ahead: Oct/Nov 2013, i.e. at the same time as 720 laucnches out west. So both Sony anbd MS nexgen consoles will be launched 2013 I suspect.

Nope, I don't think that at all.
But your previous posts about Wii-U being a Dreamcast to Xbox gap power-wise at best if Sony and MS go conservative and N64 to Xbox gap at worst has shown me that though you should not be taken seriously in this kind of discussion despite knowing PC tech well.

I wouldn't worry about that. Sony can have the best graphics, while also having a ver competitive price. They are sticking with Blu-ray (I imagine we'll see a 8x or 12x drive this time around) and probably won't be developing a brand new CPU tech (probably will stick to something similar to the Cell). So we're going to be getting much more RAM and a much better GPU. My guess is we're going to be getting better graphics than even those mock-up trailers Sony did for the PS3.

Killzone 2 looks significantly better than that trailer, and Killzone 3 takes a shit all over it.
ps3 produces way better graphics than that
