Except the WiiU isn't mobile outside of the house ...

Did you even think this thread through, and why mobiles and mobile gaming is popular?

Mobile people....if its at home than they wouldnt be mobile...or am I thinking of the wrong mobile o.o?

To me a mobile device is anything I take with me, whether it be from the couch to the toilet or from my work desk to the toilet.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Do you do a lot of gaming on the toilet?

Oh wait, it even says restroom in the chart... why the hell would people play games in the toilet? I don't think i have even sent a text from there.

True, and most living rooms are in the centre of the house. Besides we still don't know how close it really has to be.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Well from what we know from many months ago it cannot leave the rooom. Best case scenario people!

We wont really know anything until CES and E3. My main thing is they are doing this. How successful will they be? So on and so forth.

Why... I can still use the Wii remote to control my console from most places in my house... obviously without any sensor bar functions and I can't see what I am doing, but it still accepts motions and button presses. (haven't tried the dining room, which is an extension on the house away from the corner my bedroom is in, so may be too far away)

Personally, If I was about to purchase a tablet Ipad, or Galaxy, games probably wouldn't be the first thing to come to my mind, well maybe only because I'm a gamer, but I'm sure the tablet market has a different audience. Just as Wii U will appeal to a different audience.

Another thing, you keep trying to say Nintendo will steal audience back with apps and such and such, but I'm sure those who will go out to purchase the Wii U are not initially thinking about apps and e-reader capabilities and such, if they even know it has that function in the first place.

Just remember one thing, mass market consumers are sheep. Most of them do not care about extended capabilities just the basic capabilities.

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

No

I LOVE ICELAND!

ill rather say the wii u will hurt the tablet market because its going to be cheaper and you can play real games on it... simple as that

Well from what we have seen, the Wii U tablet is going to have apps, games, videos ( Netflix and Hulu type services?) possibly haptic technology, HD, etc. If you can download illegal apps to have facetime and make phone calls and text on the ipod, then why not on the tablet as well?

Nintendo sees that every kid in America wants a tablet, now they have multi options! Mario on a tablet. Real Pokemon on a tablet, plus Nintendo downloads on the go and whatever else!

Win Win.

As I said before, when the other companies re-use Nintendos idea and make tablets for there future consoles to compete with tablets they can thank nintendo for going for tablet makers throats.

Now they just have to find a way to fix the 3DS image in the west.....Mario is not the only answer.

exactly.

mostly ppl look at it like its just a contoler with a screen not an actual pad..ninty has the possibility to make this a must buy if they include all the stuff the ipads have and even more quality games casual games they are a games company for gods sake.
