Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Isn't this the third or so time this being posted on here? Not to be rude or anything... Just saying. Makes a good story whether it is true or not. By the way the title just has to be a SNES not an SNES. Grammar Nazi reporting!!!

Are you sure is "a" and not "an"?

I know "an" is used when it's a vowel or something but "an SNES" rolls off the tongue better than "a SNES".

As for it being a repost, I don't remember reading it.

To my knowledge, you only use an when the following word starts with a vowel.  So since SNES or Super starts with a S and not a vowel then I would think it would be a.  I probably need to call in Judge Dredd to be sure though.

My mom got me an SNES (or if you read it as a single word instead of calling out the individual letters, "A Snes") and I had a lot of fun with it. She has it now and she plays it everyday.

I guess my story isn't as exciting as the one in the OP.

You are correct!

Off topic: I grew up in Canada and we do say eh a lot, hehehe

I have always called it S N E S. I didn't know people call it snes as a single word.

Maybe that's why "an" just sound right to me.

So, both are correct depending on how to pronounce SNES?
