Forums - Sony - PS Plus is underrated

I've only had it for about 3 months but I'm probably going to cancel. None of the free games or discounts interest me. I'd rather spend the time playing a backlog of higher quality games.

I prefer the way Steam does it. I don't have enough time to play all the games PSN+ offers so I pick and choose through Steam.

How does Steam do it differently?

Well they have sales many times a year, so you can pretty much grab any game you like for cheap. No subscription required.

Oh right.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I like it because of the free random PSN games. I got some of those PSN games, that I would'nt have even bought if they were'nt free.

Yes and some of them tend to be surprisingly good e.g Hydrophobia (for me anyway)

Do you get to keep the psx games after your trial ends?

No you dont, and thats my main problem with PSN+, if I dont want the service any more, anything that I have purchased using it goes away. Its like a trap, you have to stay a member to really benefit. That goes for discounted things too.

You keep discounted things forever. If you pay anything for it, you keep it

no you dont, when I was a member, I had bought Sonic 2 and KZ3 expansion and Streets of Rage 2, when it expired I was no longer able to use them and would have had to buy them again

you're mistaken. I don't know about the KZ3 pack but I got Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic 2 for free.  Which means that I won't keep them if my sub ends. I don't remember those ever being charged for with a discount.

sorry if im bit off topic, but this seems like a proper thread to ask. if i bought european infamous 2, will i still be able to play festival of blood downloaded from american ps store? I heard DLCs are region locked...

Yes, you can, since festival of blood is a standalone DLC. It doesn't even require you to play infamous 2 to play it.

I want PSN+, because my brother got it and said it's more than worth the money, but I have so many games as it is I could, without exagerration, not buy another game for the next 2-3 years and still have enough new content to keep me busy. I think I own something like 45 games this generation alone that I've never played/beaten, and even more once you go back to the Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube. by the time it's all said and done, I honestly think I have about 75 games I could play....so I don't need an excuse to get even more.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

well, that's deceiving...why call it DLC when its a standalone full game spinoff. Sony should really be more clear on that

It is still based on infamous 2. But not big enough to be called as an expansion. So, it is called as DLC which is downloadable content.
