i don't know if it's the same thing for every platform but from the numbers of ratings on the 3ds eshop i'd say

UK > Germany >> France >> Italy > Spain

Why is there that big of a difference between the 58.7 million for X360 sales on the front page of VGC while in this thread Seece says 60 million?

Also I dont understand where all these sales are coming from. How can X360 outsell 2010 when its got no formal price drop? Also Kinect sales have beel slumping thru all year so it's hard to understand where that boost comes from.

Either he's speaking ahead of updates or talking about official shipped numbers.  In the industry the shipped numbers define the public sales.  60 million shipped with 58.7 million sold seems acceptable.

Can't seem to find the post you mention so hard to say without reading his actual words.  Seece is normaly pretty clear in his statements.

No no no this weeks numbers have not been added to the bar graph on the main page yet. What you can see there are the numbers before Black Friday week. With the rest of the regions coming in, the 360 will be above 60M for the BF week.

EDIT: Meh too late

Being respectable. That's a rare trait on this site. I commend you.

So far with the low boosts of UK (11%) and Germany (6%), it almost seems unlikely. Europe and AP/MEA was 157k last week, so with the largest markets of Europe out the way, I can't see it getting the boost of around 80% required to make it. Also keep in mind Americas will not be 13% of the USA figure, because Black Friday is solely a USA event. Around 1.2m - 1.25m for the week looks much more realistic.

Are there Black Friday sales in Canada? I'd imagine Canadian retailers wouldn't want a bunch of Canadians going shopping in the states for the low prices.

i dont like this new global thread, there should be different threads for each individual regions software and hardware charts.

God I am still so surprised the 360 managed to sell such a ridiculous amount, it far exceeded my expectations.

Also from the digital bundle Halo Reach has sold roughly 400k sales that haven't been tracked by Vgchartz which brings the total sales past 8.9 million sales at least since there are probably a couple 100k worth of digital sales from people just buying Reach on the marketplace which I am not figuring in due to how impossible it is to get even rough estimates of those.

Anyways Reach is pretty much guaranteed to cross 10 million by years end.

That is exactly what most Canadian shoppers do. In recent years a few retailers have tried cashing in on the name and have their own "Black Friday" sales, but they pale in comparison to the USA deals. Canada's equivalent is Boxing day, which isn't until December 26th.

They're probably talking about real-time sales. 360 is surely ahead of 60m by now if you factor in the sales for this week that VGC hasn't counted yet.

Yea I suppose regardless of whether they intended that or not it is a fact. I was kind of just hoping someone would challenge my numbers and prove that 360 passed 60M this week.

Uncharted 2 finally passes five million units. Six million seems possible now

Yeah me too! So instead of waiting a little longer for the changes to be complete lets do something drastic and make our own website!!
