lestatdark said: I just want to say this: I'm sorry both Wagram and Classicgamewizz got banned because of this thread. I've no qualms against people who critizice both Bethesda and Skyrim, if their complains are valid. The points I was making for both of them were in regards of the PC version not being as buggy as they were claiming (especially since they didn't play that version nor would ever do it) and that most of the problems were easily fixed. Having said that, I didn't see their replies on this thread after Classicgamewizz replied to me with the /end conversation rant, so I don't know if their posts were in a more harsher tone afterwards. I just hope people are better informed before making some claims that can't be backed up, especially when you go against the people that actually have experience with said topic, to avoid these kind of situations in the future. We all know all versions of Skyrim have their bugs and their problems, it's easy to check out most of them here: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Bugs_(Skyrim) and http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Glitches. As you can see, all versions of the game have their problems, some are more serious than others (like the 6 mb save issue on PS3 for some people or the crash-to-desktop on PC without the 4GB mod), but other than that, it's fairly even amongst all versions. And even with this list, it's also not certain that you'll experience any of them as well, it's more of assortment of issues which randomly appears to players, thus being very hard to "catch" if just a limited number of people did Q&A for the game. Could Skyrim have shipped with less bugs and glitches? Definitely. Is Skyrim the less buggy Bethesda game released so far? In terms of major glitches, stability issues and overall gamebreaking bugs, most definitely as well, as the grand majority of bugs are cosmetic.

Great post, but just a precision, the PS3 issue isnt "for some people", it affect every copy on any PS3. They surely knew about it before releasing the game. I agree with the rest ; ). Its hard to QA when its a specific problem cause by a specific situation. And, its an awesome game, a couple bug doesnt justify not playing the game. That being said, they really had a greed attitude with the PS3 version, should have either post-pone the date or not release it at all. If the new patch fix this Ill be way less critic, but damn, im sorry for the people that will not or cannot patch the game. Im only at 8mb and its becoming really annoying, so imagine when you are at 11-12mb+. Since it just keep getting worst and worst there is probably a point where its literally unplayable and not just annoying.

Oh, I completely agree that the PS3 bug is by far the worst and yes, it seems it's present on all copies, but it seems not all people are affected the same way, based on what I know from some friends and even people here on VGC. Sadly though, it ends up affecting the game some way or another and that's extremely detrimental to the people who cannot afford to patch it up.
From what I also read, it seems that 6 mb is the lowest limit at what it manifests and that is quite easy (as in low game hours) to reach that filesize.
And I also think it's sad that Bethesda hasn't still learned how to properly code for the PS3 to avoid these kind of game-breaking bugs and lag issues. You would think that after 3 games under their belt, using basically the same engine with a few tweaks and upgrades, they'd at least avoid a situation as this for Skyrim.
@Shinobi-san - My experience with the PC version has also been very smooth, except for a crash-to-desktop which is mostly caused due to Shift-Tab on Steam (most of my Steam games get that same problem) and a few graphical bugs, nothin major, even without tweaking the .ini (I still play it with V-Sync On and have noticed almost no mouse lag at all) and before I used some mods like the 4GB mod for faster texture loading.
Unfortunately agendas are a commonplace on videogame forums. It wouldn't surprise me that some people that take offence at the bugs presented on Skyrim wouldn't mind them on games closer to their tastes. The example of Uncharted 3 given on this thread was a clear cut case, since most of it's bugs (and it had also a gamebreaking one for older PS3 consoles) were simply glossed over and you'd hardly hear any backlash to the game or to the developer. It's a sad and deplorable situation that does nothing for a good ambient between gamers.
