I'll say what everyone is dancing around. Final Fantasy 7 remake on the 3DS will look like ass. Graphics have gotten a lot better and to be frank would you want Final Fantasy 7 remake looking like Final Fantasy X/XII or would you rather it look like Final Fantasy XIII? If you're going to take the time to remake your highest selling game you damn well better put all your resources and do a good job and putting the game on the 3DS wouldn't do that.

First, I would like to clarify that I really don't think it's FF7 (if the rumor is even true at all).

That said, there is a reason why a FF7 remake (port?) would end up on the 3DS instead of an HD console. It would be the same logic that lead Capcom to put MHTri on the Wii instead of the PS3 - development time and money. SE went on record quite a few times that a FF7 remake would take forever (in development time). So where wouldn't it take forever? Perhaps on the 3DS.

But, as I wrote initially, I don't think it's FF7.

It probably isn't and that doesn't change the fact that a remake of Square's highest selling game deserves the highest possible treatment.  It's not like we're discussing the remake of a second tier game, or a remake of a 2D based game.  We're discussing a remake of Square's flagship game, it was a game changer to say the least.

Like its been said, Sony is the publisher of FFVII in NA.

Okay for that last time. Sony doesn't own the rights to FFVII in the North America.

Yes it does, SE said FFVII could not be published on xbox live for that same reason.

I hope its Dragon Quest VII since never played it. Final Fantasy VII I played a lot and beat it multiple times.

I would replay both, anytime, anywhere.

Sony only published PS version, PC version was published by Eidos (even in North America). So FF VII already is on non-Sony platform. I don't know whether they own North American rights for FF VII but it would seem illogical to let FF VII to be released on PC and not even publish it. There could also be that they only own rights for PS version but not PC version.

I understand what you are saying, but by roughly the same logic, with MH being Capcom's flagship franchise in Japan, MHTri shouldn't have come to  the Wii and MH3G and MH4 shouldn't be coming to the 3DS... Yet they are, so if they could, so could FF7.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Haha, both impossible, since DQVII and VIII can only appear on Sony hardware according to Yujii Hori, thats why he cant mention them on Nintendo press for DQX.

As for FF dropping their standard, it got nothing to do with Sony but more to do with with the biggest Idiot in the world, Yoichi Wada, that tot FF is Call of Duty of Japan, and milk it, milk it, and dreaming of Modern Warfare 1, 2, 3 result. Remove the Idiot and send him to Activision is the only way FF will ever get salvation.

Metal Gear Solid 1 was also on PC and that hasn't found its way to XBL yet, it isn't in the MGS HD Collection either. It could be because the PSN version is emulated and Kojima didn't think a port would be worth the effort, but you never know.

When Monster Hunter Tri switched over, Monster Hunter wasn't the beast it was, and the PS3 wasn't doing so hot either.  The PS3 and 360 are both doing well now, if they were doing how they are there's a good chance Monster Hunter Tri would still have been on the PS3.  As far as Monster Hunter 4 goes, I'm sure NIntendo had something to do with that cause, to risk sales, is a bad move by Capcom.

Tha's a really funny situation, Microsoft actually ported the game to PC.  It was part of the deal that brought Metal Gear Solid 2 to the Xbox.  I'm thinking there would have been more work involved to get that in the collection than anyone would have guessed.  Plus the Twin Snakes compilation might have stake with Nintendo, so that was probably off limits.
