I agree with everyone saying that you need to launch while you past system is doing well, I never said that they should wait until the 360 is done selling before they launch.
It's just the software that gets me. GTAV + Halo 4 + next CoD on 360 2012/2013 I feel is a big enough combo to keep people from grabbing a 720. (btw Halo 4 is confirmed by the dev to be a 360 game for all the people saying it might be a launch 720 title).
And to all the people saying that it will have a great launch because it will be backwards compatible with the 360 and thus have an amazing launch lineup: uh so that means the PS3 had an amazing launch line-up? It was fully compatible with the all PS2 games so it had the greatest launch over? I remember it being pretty crappy (I was an early adopter) despite having the full PS2 library to play. And if the 720 does upscale or improve the graphics it is still not going to look like a 720 game. All the HD ports on PS3 look nicer than PS2, but they don't look that great. Upscaling is nice but it can't change the poly count or texture size.
