Self-censorship happens all the time in the media, the images of Muhammad is just one example that people are more aware about. Another one I can think of is water-boarding in American newspapers.  When certain papers talk about China waterboarding people, they use the word "torture", however, when they talk about the USA being engaged in waterboarding, they use the term "enhanced interrogation". This isn't because the US Government has made some kind of rule, the press are still free to call it torture, if they wish. They just engage in self-censorship, because they know that calling American water-boarding torture will be offensive to many readers (those who may have lost loved ones in terrorist attacks, or at war, etc).

One other example, off the top of my head, is how the Japanese media refuse to have any negative coverage of the sumo sport. Any allegation of corruption or cheating is completely ignored in the Japanese media, because they know that it could be very offensive to Japanese readers, as sumo is seen as "pure" in Japanese culture.

Really? I thought it was due to hypocrisy.

Regarding Japan, an even better example would be their refusal to acknowledge the Manchurian massacre. You'll never see those 2 terms together in the Japanese media.

have you been to the UK ? , not a single fuck was given to actual british citizens, only immagrants get all the love.

i don't really know the reason, but i think its because they want more of the working class.

UK is not for good ol' brits anymore, its filled with immigrants eating up the place inside out, raping it too much that you really can't tell its an english country anymore.

Personally I think the UK is a timebomb waiting to explode. The world economy is screwed and as times get harder people will turn on the likely scapegoats, the immigrants. I believe the native brits are not generally racist but now they feel under pressure because in some areas they are being over-run, as any native people would.

OT: China is already picking up a lot of the slack in regards to aid to Africa. In many ways China owns Africa. Cameron knows this.

As for the growth (or lack of) in China no one knows. Those envious of the country's success like to preach doom and gloom.

Those like GS predict that by 2050 China's GPD will roughly $70t, USA and India around half that at $35t.

ALL empires come to an end, and the modern day westerner is finding this hard to swallow - as I am sure the Egyptians, Persians, Greeks and Romans also did. No one stays top dog forever, it's a fact of life.

Then again by then we could all be blown to hell in a nuke war or under one world government.

on india and china,i am no economic expert at all and haven't read your articles but of course they will have social and economic problems as any country does and they are so massive it can be bad but surely they are only going to get richer and richer at the top which drives most things in modern economies as far as i can tell

what economic model is any good,,i'd imagine china and india will have soem gigantic struggles and issues between rulers and general public,workforce and the elite but who hasn't

(Bolded bit) Yes, someone does, the Chinese. In return the Africans gets roads and schools etc., maybe some money.

India are doing well but are no way near China at present or for the near future in terms of economy.

China are buying up resources in Asia, S.America, Australia and as mentioned Africa... pretty much all over the world.

It is how China deal with Africa that will determine that continents future more than any aid from the U.K.

I've always thought of Poland as a very homophobic country. And you aren't helping matters, that's for sure.

Thank you I'm proud to live in normal country that doesn't submit to vocal minorities.

And we have 100% tolerance- in no way homosexuals are discriminated by the law they can do whatever they want. We just don't grant them additional rights like some western idiots.
