Personally I think the UK is a timebomb waiting to explode. The world economy is screwed and as times get harder people will turn on the likely scapegoats, the immigrants. I believe the native brits are not generally racist but now they feel under pressure because in some areas they are being over-run, as any native people would.
OT: China is already picking up a lot of the slack in regards to aid to Africa. In many ways China owns Africa. Cameron knows this.
As for the growth (or lack of) in China no one knows. Those envious of the country's success like to preach doom and gloom.
Those like GS predict that by 2050 China's GPD will roughly $70t, USA and India around half that at $35t.
ALL empires come to an end, and the modern day westerner is finding this hard to swallow - as I am sure the Egyptians, Persians, Greeks and Romans also did. No one stays top dog forever, it's a fact of life.
Then again by then we could all be blown to hell in a nuke war or under one world government.
