I don't think so. The same amount of people that bought Forza 3 will buy Forza 4 + about 600K - 700K more eventually.

Without bundle? Forza 3 was heavily bundled... so if Forza 4 not bundled it will sell less than Forza 3.

It will, a bit, but it will. Owners of GT5, who are the bulk of sim racing fans on console, are less tempted to buy a new racing game after this update. Moreover (to sim racing fans, not casual gamers or xbox only owners) a $39.99 GT5 may be more attractive than a full price Forza (without wet tracks, loose surfaces and the likes).

your naive if you think GT5 can affect any game sales even with a price drop anybody that wanted the game already have it so no it won't affect Forza 4 sales.

You do know that GT5 is still bundled in Europe right? It just got a new one.. a 320gb version with 2 dualshocks.. great deal for just 275 euros..

You misunderstood me...

What I was saying is that GT5 wont sell as well as GT3 as GT3 was very very heavily bundled.

I agree totally that Forza 4 may sell less than Forza 3 if it isnt bundled.  So what?

Yeah, I think so. I think the bundling of Forza 3 created a large enough fanbase for the series for Forza 4 to have similar sales figures to Forza 3. And the hype it's getting will add a little more. Just my opinion, either way, it will never be as popular as GT. Especially if the car physics aren't as accurate.
