3DS is in big trouble atm but MARIO,POKEMON,MH4,etc will bring it back

but the problem still remains the games will be more of the same as their is less space for innovation on the hardware so all those franchises will only be able to bring 3DS back from the dead but wil have a problem in taking 3DS to the top

VITA doesn't have big titles but it has the most innovative HW on the market which will produce new games.this coupled with PS related franchises like KH,FF,MGS,etc will benefit it.Plus VITA will surely get Monster Hunter somewhere down the line and PSP fanbase in JAPAN.

so here are the advantages and disadvantages:

advantages:

huge franchises

disadvantages:

Bad launch to console
didn't carry over the momentum from previous handheld brand aka DS
very less room for innovation


VITA

advantages:

big franchises
alot of room for innovation
will carry over the momentum from the previous handheld aka PSP

disadvantages:

don't have anything to match POKEMON,MARIO.

Just try to be logical please.

Vita advantage = big franchise vs 3DS = huge franchise; imo means vita disadvantage in this segment

"Will carry over the momentum..." lol, is it a magical thing or are you directly from 2012?

In the end it's "room for innovation" on the vita site. Here i could agree, if you meant backtouchpad (and 2 sticks?).... that's it, you know gyro+accelometer are in both machines.

Oh and MGS and KH will be on 3DS and even FF could be (isn't a FF spinoff already confirmed?).

Just some facts.

altought i don't think it will matter big time given JAPAN's willingness to spend and also i think SONY might cut the price fast next year to close the competition

yeah i mentioned they don't have anything to compete with POKE,MARIO

but they still have franchises so i mentioned it in advantages,its not like they are blank in the game department

also the reason i did it as even big franchises need innovation to continue or you see sliding sales graph which will be seen with 3DS main franchise.i mean what more can POKEMON and MARIO do with 3DS in the gameplay area?

 

and don't even start the innovation debate,VITA does way more than 3DS.backpad and the second sticks matter big time in gameplay area

FF spinoffs has been announced for 3DS but FF games from the main universe or mainline series outsells them easily.

I'm looking forward to the innovative Vita.
Let's see what can be done.

Perhaps second stick matters big time in gameplay area.
What if Ninty plans a 2-stick model?

Or some sort of 2nd stick attachement with retro-style, perhaps something that makes the 3DS look like the Game-Gear.
Oh yeah, the Game-Gear was a gorgeous system. It was technically superior to the Game Boy and BIGGER, rofl, and with colour-graphic like on the TV. Oh yeah, there was an add-on which made the Game Gear a mobile TV. 4 (or 6?)AA Batteries were enough to run this thing for at least 3 hours.
It was a smashing victory...
