3DS or Vita. Which one will take Japan?

3DS is in big trouble atm but MARIO,POKEMON,MH4,etc will bring it back

but the problem still remains the games will be more of the same as their is less space for innovation on the hardware so all those franchises will only be able to bring 3DS back from the dead but wil have a problem in taking 3DS to the top

VITA doesn't have big titles but it has the most innovative HW on the market which will produce new games.this coupled with PS related franchises like KH,FF,MGS,etc will benefit it.Plus VITA will surely get Monster Hunter somewhere down the line and PSP fanbase in JAPAN.

so here are the advantages and disadvantages:

3DS

advantages:

huge franchises

disadvantages:

Bad launch to console
didn't carry over the momentum from previous handheld brand aka DS
very less room for innovation


VITA

advantages:

big franchises
alot of room for innovation
will carry over the momentum from the previous handheld aka PSP

disadvantages:

don't have anything to match POKEMON,MARIO.
