3DS or Vita. Which one will take Japan?

VITA doesn't have big titles but it has the most innovative HW on the market which will produce new games.this coupled with PS related franchises like KH,FF,MGS,etc will benefit it.Plus VITA will surely get Monster Hunter somewhere down the line and PSP fanbase in JAPAN.

advantages:

huge franchises

disadvantages:

Bad launch to console
didn't carry over the momentum from previous handheld brand aka DS
very less room for innovation


VITA

advantages:

big franchises
alot of room for innovation
will carry over the momentum from the previous handheld aka PSP

disadvantages:

don't have anything to match POKEMON,MARIO.

Just try to be logical please.

Vita advantage = big franchise vs 3DS = huge franchise; imo means vita disadvantage in this segment

In the end it's "room for innovation" on the vita site. Here i could agree, if you meant backtouchpad (and 2 sticks?).... that's it, you know gyro+accelometer are in both machines.

Oh and MGS and KH will be on 3DS and even FF could be (isn't a FF spinoff already confirmed?).

Just some facts.

yeah i mentioned they don't have anything to compete with POKE,MARIO

but they still have franchises so i mentioned it in advantages,its not like they are blank in the game department

also the reason i did it as even big franchises need innovation to continue or you see sliding sales graph which will be seen with 3DS main franchise.i mean what more can POKEMON and MARIO do with 3DS in the gameplay area?

 

and don't even start the innovation debate,VITA does way more than 3DS.backpad and the second sticks matter big time in gameplay area

FF spinoffs has been announced for 3DS but FF games from the main universe or mainline series outsells them easily.
