I wouldn't change anything, honestly I think these "what are the best" threads are redundant, we all know whats gonna happen, a bunch of people are going to say mass effect , then a whole other bunch are going to say final fantasy and then people who are actually really really into RPGs are going to mention Dragon Quest, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger and other things that most of the young people here probably never heard of since they probably don't know what a Super Nintendo is...this is just my opinion...nobody needs to agree and ya'll can feel free to flame me for it cause that's what happens when people don't agree on something here -___-

while all the voting threads are getting annoying PS3news is trying real hard to avoid the controversy so give him a break.

also if you have a better idea for a thread then make one.

I don't know if Xenoblade should be included with the Xeno series since the game has nothing to do with Xenogears or Xenosaga (or so I've heard, I haven't finished Xenoblade yet). It wasn't even called Xenoblade to begin with.
But, if it counts then Xeno is definitely up there with my favourites along with Baldur's Gate, Final Fantasy and the Chrono series.

Picking a favourite out of those is tough but I vote for Xeno, very closely followed by Final Fantasy.

I would have to go with Mass Effect, but too limited of a list to choose from. There are tons of great RPG series that are not on that list like Witcher, Star Ocean, Fable, Phantasy Star, etc.

Why even thinking about messing with one of the greates games of all time with a messed up sequel with a messed up storyline, a messed up artstyle, a messed up battle system, unnecessary characters, crappy level up system and screwing all what we worked in Chrono Trigger and its meaning and impact is beyond me.

It was a tough choice between pokemon and final fantasy but i had to go with FF.... now if suikoden were on the list I'd have picked it...

I love building an army and slowly watching the castle populate with lots of interesting characters, what other series lets you recruit a guy whose sole purpose in life is to greet people that come to your castle XD
