Actually, with Xillia, PS3 should be up next week (unless EMEAA has another significant drop off).

With Resistance it will be flat or up in EMEAA and Americas.

WW up for sure.

The question is,will it be enough to push it back over 200k?

I think so, I see a big bump in Japan next week.

3DS still doing decent. I think its possible for PS3 to overtake 3DS next week, but Im doubtful. Xillia will give a decent boost. Still I am surprised the PS3 had such a drop in EMEAA this week. I saw X360 had a 12% boost in the UK and a modest boost in EMEAA this week. That surprises me since there were no big releases for X360 this week. Why the modest increase? The PS3 is still at least pushing better numbers than the other consoles WW still.

hmm here in germany for example they started advertisement like in germanys best known sports show. you can win there something if you are better in goal wall shooting than the sportstars invited to the show. they always have fail prize for this kind of huge show (the stars have to get a nice bunch to go to the show) and atm they have a xbox kinect bundle which they present with a nice commercial

Interesting. It sounds like MS is trying to find more ways to advertise in the European countries. Europe is a different environment to advertise in compared to the US. It seems some advertising practices that work in the US will not work the same in Germany, France, or other EU countries. Plus Each EU country has a different environment of advertising variances/ boundries. Im sure that was a good move by MS to get advertising on a very popular sports show in Germany. An International company has to really study what things are popular in each country and then find ways to put their name in the middle of it to get noticed.

that's true that each European country is different, but most European countries love football, so to succeed easily, all they need to do, is advertise in the recent international friendly matches or in the upcoming Champions League

imo ... lulz at anyone who thinks R3 is going to push any hardware.  EMEAA and americas are going to drop next week, maybe not by much but they will.  japan should go up but to reach 200k i think it will have to double.  i don't see it getting that big of a bump.  33 ->45k would be a fantastic bump imo but still not enough to reach 200k WW.

nice ps3 and 3ds numbers :)

Everyone is assuming the 360 and PS3 will be close in WW sales this holiday.

Not me. If 360 cuts the price, they will match the PS3 world wide. Holiday time is usually in 360's favor, but that is because of Kinect (in the past) or a price cut or massive giveaways, deals. it wot outsell PS3 JUST because its the holidays!

the gap between the 2 consoles is now smaller than it has ever been.
EVER.

Bring on the holidays and lets hope there is no price cut by Microsoft so it continues to shrink. :)

No it won't outsell PS3 JUST because it's the holidays, but because of Kinect.

Really the amount of hints Microsoft have given, they wouldn't be so adamant about being first if they didn't have the goods to back it up, and they wouldn't be claiming it either if they thought it was going to be close.

We all know Casuals > Price cut.

Thw two combined will propel 360 to the top.
