Can wii do about 105K next week to hit 88M. It should have no less than 3 weeks selling sub 100K.  I hope the new wii model in October will help it through the holidays.

ps3 is doing terrible post price-cut. looks like it will end up like the wii, back to the same baseline within weeks of the cut.

It's not that bad, it had an 8% drop after two weeks of cut. Next week Xillia releases and then HW picks up before the holiday season, so I doubt it'll go below 170k. We will see Wii and PS3's price cut effect better during the holidays.

Undertrackedz? Overtrackedz? Adjustments of course.

PS3 up 2,845
PSP up 1,042
PS2 up 14

360 down 31
DS down 146
3DS down 2,043
Wii down 4,061

That means PS3 did 206,000 last week, which makes this weeks drop even bigger. Hope it gets adjusted up again this week.

And doesn't Wii keep getting adjusted down by quite a few k every week?

No. The adjustments was in previous weeks not just the last one... the last week number is the same (202k) .

The Week End 20th August (first week of the price cute) changed from 178k to 183k .

GT5 grow from 8,354 to 9,615 in EMEAA (+15%).

Next week the Platinum Edition may put it back to TOP40 WW.

Waiting Japan's software to make a WW comparison .

PS3 still looking strong but how much longer will it last?

if PS3 can do 150k to 180k for the rest of the month they'll be doing fine heading into Oct.(there last big month) before the war starts.

i think this holiday season will all depend on Sony posting big numbers in EMEAA's and Japan. if Sony(in the U.S.) can hold respectable numbers to compare to 360 in the U.S. then Sony will walk away with 2011 under its belt.

on the other hand MS has console bundles and themes galore and could still the show by yrs end leading up through the first 2 wks of January while Sony beats the brick's leading up to Sony's fiscal yr end.

just an early look and my take on the holiday season, and lead up to Sony's fiscal 2011.

2012 will test the waters big time.

Buy a $700 or more Windows 7 PC for college, get a free Xbox 360. I"m sure you've seen the commercials. This promotion run all the way to September 24.

He has, just that the guy above was painting a picture they're easily being given out for free. It's limited stock, limited laptops, limited retailers at $700 plus to a strict age range (don't remember exactly 17 - 21 or something)

While I don't think the promotion is accounting for a huge number of sales I think people are underplaying its impact a bit much. Pachter did say that it accounted for about 100k sales in June. And regardless of the strict age range it should be kind of clear that laptops are a pretty common purchase for college students.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

Holidays around the corner, how exciting!

Wow, Wii could be dropping to sub-100k levels again very soon, as there's nothing coming out at least until November. Terrible, the price drop only made Nintendo lose $50 in profit, since the boost lasted no more than a month.

You're forgetting Kirby's Return to Dreamland, October 24th.

ps3 has always had decent sales during the holiday in the US. i doubt the 360's US sales can offset EMEAA and japans sales for ps3. only if microsoft cuts $100, that can happen and they aint gonna do that.
