MiB 3 did the best from all the movies when MiB 2 did a lot worse in the box office than MiB 1. So with this put into consideration along with everything else, MiB 3 did very well in sales. It had to have met everyone's expectations.
Production Budget: $225 million
They made a ton of profit @ over $600M. I don't see how anyone is saying flop. More like giant success.

You know its the same with the movies like with the games. For the games we have the Call of Duty series which sell over 20 m copies. So any game which dont sell atleast 3 or 4 millions is considered a flop by some users.
And for the movies we have Avatar, Avengers etc which sell over 1b. So anything under 800 m is a flop by some users. They live in another world than you and me.
Good news.
Amazing Spidey is showing great holds in many overseas territories!

And I quote Farsala - "MIB 3 did not do as well as they hoped. Thats my boy is a flop." Explain. |
Maybe I should not make such wall of texts. What I said is MIB 3 did not do as well, THEN I said with a new sentence the movie Thats my boy which is another Sony movie was a flop.
Box Office Mojo has The Dark Knight Rising opening in 4,375+ theaters domestically that's more then The Avengers which opened in 4,349.

Ice Age 4 opens higher than 3 and Ted keeps holding it's ground against The Hangover.
Amazing Spidey is not that amazing.
Amazing spidey actually hold well this weekend. Less than a 50% drop is great, especially against Ice Age which it should've lost audience to..indicates strong WOM

Good start for Ice Age. According to BoxOfficeMojo, Fox expected it to in the high $30 million range.
