I was just saying that it isn't Mojo that gives the high estimates, the studio does because they want those headlines of "biggest 2D opening of all time".

Catching Fire has pretty good legs so far already passed the $200 million mark domestically with yesterdays numbers.

Oddly enough, its Tuesday AND Wednesday numbers rose from Monday! Kind of insane! Imean, Tuesdays usually go up, and Wednesday was a holiday, but even so, movies never go UP from their monday immediately following their opening weekend, especially if the opening weekend was that huge!

Well it makes sense to me Tuesday is obvious because that is a good day to go to the movies because of discounts and Wednesday makes sense also since most of the target audience is free on that day because of Thanksgiving.

Actually films always go up on Tuesday and Wednesday on Thanksgiving week.

Most go up tuesdays regardless, and any holiday wednesday will do the same, but you're minimizing the effect of such a huge opening weekend; when a movie makes over 100million in its opening weekend, it almost never goes up on tuesday or wednesday, regardless of what time of year it is. 

When I said films go up on Tuesday and Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, I meant every single film does, including the Twilight films which are notorious for opening big and then fading quickly. If Catching Fire went down during either of those days it would have been completely unprecedented. 

Just over $250 million domestically for Catching Fire in eight days it will easily make more money then The Hunger Games.

Holy shit...31 million for a second friday?! That's bigger than The Avengers! can we see this making highest second weekend ever? Will easily beat The Dark Knight for highest second 2D movie.

Considering the first one made $408m...this is defo gonna hit $500m :o
