Sooner or later Nintendo will hire you!   

It's just a single day of the 3DS being on sale at a new price for the entire week. Also, I know someone said "Day 1 is when people usually start buying", but this is a price cut, not a new system or game (where day 1-2 is usually where this trend takes place). You also can't deny that 3DS sales would have been larger, probably over 100k, if it was on sale throughout the entire week. It's just common sense.

Not only this, but my Gamestop has been selling 3DS's left and right every single day SINCE the pricecut. "Non-stop" was the word he used. Which means, at least for me, the 3DS is going steady at a rate and not all in one big swoop. I can't say anything for certain, but no anti-defense force is going to tell me "We still need to take these numbers at face value". No. Whatever the case is, we need to wait for next weeks numbers, pre-orders or not.

Note: I'm not saying this isn't bad news for sure. This could possibly be somewhat of a flop. I'm just saying we can't say for sure yet.

Maybe rather we should try to rip your "logic" that just because x360 gets 30k lead in usa  it doesn't need price cut ;)

And anyway your own YOY numbers show that ps3 to x360 status is same it was year before (pre kinect pre move) despite kinect being lot more succesfull than move in USA.

Only one day of price cut here, and amazing that DS still sold close to 3DS.

Serriously?  And in regards to the "equal the 360" comment, I'm pretty sure PS3 will actually be about 10-15k ahead once EMEAA and Japan go up. OT, I have to agree with most of the people here. 3DS is almost certainly undertracked.

its actually the usual 2 days. price was cut on 12th sales include 13th. but im sure they are way undertracked.

Being that I was in Walmart on Thursday with their 3DS shelf full, and on Saturday with the 3DS being sold out, I find the 3DS numbers a little hard to believe ...

While one store is (certainly) not representative of the market in general, I find it difficult to believe that one store would get such a large boost when there was such a small boost in general.

Interesting... So if they'll make a Metroid Mama with improved maternal instinct, in glorious 2D, he'll love it!
