| dany612 said: The 3DS price cut took effect August 12, these numbers are up to August 13, so only about a day for price cut sales and the numbers did rise from previous week. So wait till next weeks numbers for the true 3DS price cut sales. I find it hard to believe you guys didn't know this >_> sigh....... |
the largest spike is always on day 1, places like gamestop and amazon have been taking post-price-drop pre-orders for weeks now. people always give the "it's just 2 days.." excuse for every release in EMEAA and it NEVER matters. i find it hard to believe you didn't know this.
What the hell is up with these numbers? It would be nice to know the genesis of some of the "goings on" around here. But I have been saying that for years.
What we do know is that things do not change without reason.
We also know that price cuts always increase sales massively.
We do not know the specifics of where these sales numbers come from.

But usually the legs are afterwards. Not that I am not suprised of a big day one since I failed to even see it being advertised on tv. For example Nintendo managed to sell a whopping 215,000 units of the 3DS between August 8 and 14. The price drop (from 25,000 Yen to 15,000 yen) went into full effect on August 11 (but quite a few stores in Japan actually reduced the price a few days earlier)
The numbers are really low for 3DS. And when seeing Japan`s numbers they seem even lower.

Looks like there have been some adjustments.
Halo Reach is a doing amazing!
3DS up! But not enough to beat XB360. No Pokemon, no party.
PS: yes, PS3 adjusted down last week.
