Why people predict MGS3D cancellation? Make me wanna cry

And I liked the ad, so far Nintendo has handled 3DS like another DS model and this ad was good to prove consumers otherwise.

I hope ads like that make it to the U.S.. I also hope that's just one of a series of ads showing the differences and improvements between the DS and 3DS.

-another ad could show AR games and Motion controls
-another ad could show Nintendo franchises and virtual console
-another ad could show Netflix, 3D pictures, Spot Pass, and Nintendo Video

Obviously, this ad is an attempt to diffuse any momentum that the PSV would be garnering if it were coming out this year. Showing games that PSV fans would like (Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Street Fighter) with awesome graphics--what other reason could there have been?

The thing is why would anyone buy the fullprice 3DS-version when a budget price HD-collection that also includes MGS and Peace Walker is released months before.

And every other 3DS game sucks and it has no future is also what its saying as its just showing ports and remakes and sequals to games snd games that don't mean much. I believe only zelda is released and the other games shown are yet to be released. Just tells you how bad it is.

Also needs to be said this is a UK add. Which means it will never come over here. Nintendo of America can , and will find a better way than this.


Unless you live in Austraila or something. Everygame they showed except of Metal Gear has been released. Come on now if you going to say nonsense at least try.  

Also looks at above post! Spoken like a pure Malstromite.  Nintendo hasn't launched any system sense the SNES with a game the so called consumer wants.  If anything the 3DS one major flaw is not having a real 3DS game. The Wii success is all about the Wii series each game using the controls of the system. The DS finally touch of with the Touch Generation games that used the DS features in a interest way. If Nintendo can create a real 3DS game then and only then will the 3DS take off. Throwing 2D Mario, Brain Age, and other games like that. Are not going to help any system if you can get the exact same thing on a cheaper console. The 3DS needs new software that you can only get on the 3DS!

Doesn't feel like a Nintendo ad at all. Why the sudden change in strategy? I don't think graphics is what sold the DS, and if they're trying to compete with graphics, then Vita has the advantage. Also, if they're going to focus on the hardcore, why not mention the 3D? I just don't get it...

It may be weak, but I can't help but smile about this commercial. This is like 90s video game commercials. This is some Atari Jaguar stuff here..."64 bits...do the math!"

Did any of Nintendo's most successful games of the last few years get any honest praise from the industry? No. The Wii and DS as a whole? No, the industry looked down on these devices and developing for the Wii was a big no among top developers. Should all this matter to Nintendo when consumers love their products regardless? No.

But apparently it does.

The 3DS and Wii U were/are made to appease the industry, because Nintendo wants to be loved by them. This decision is made on a purely emotional level and has nothing to do with business sense. Why else would you change a successful formula? As a business it shouldn't bother Nintendo, if others say that they don't make cutting edge products or that their products are backwards. The success gave Nintendo right, after all.

We've seen the same thing in reverse from the industry all these past years. From a business perspective it didn't really make much sense to not support the Wii properly, but from an emotional perspective it was the right thing to do. The industry has formed a hive mind and is hostile to gamers who do not fit their world view.

um, what? How about Super Mario Galaxy 2 getting 10s from almost every single site, something that rarely happens with sequels (even lbp2 got lower than expected).

OT: I don't like the ad. They should focus on what they do best, i.e. casual games. This no longer looks like a family friendly device (with all the guns etc)
