In a lot of countries and states it's actually perfectly legal to fire someone because they are gay.

It's not to hard to find people killed because of their race... any race.   Though it is slightly harder to find white vitctims, though partially because it's not really reported on as much, as even the BBC admittied in the first link.

Funny you say white people have never had to face prejudice.  A HUGE number of scholarships (around here anyways) are solely for people of a different ethnicity.  But there are absolutely no scholarships that are only for white people.  What this means is 100% of scholarships are open to people of ethnicity, and, just as an estimate, only 70% are available to me as a white male.

I know perfectly well that we treated the Africans like absolute shit back in the day (and some people still do nowadays).  If they want to be equal, however, treat them equal.  Having considerably more scholarships available just because you are a different ethnicity is not treating them equal, it is treating them better than us.  Don't get me wrong, I know they are still treated unequaling in certain areas, but with something such as this, it would be SO easy to make it into a system that treats everybody equally, and that would simply involve not allowing scholarships to be based on ethnicity.

Those scholarships were instilled in a time when it was impossible for non-whites to get a scholarship (or even get admitted to a school/university). Their purpose is to make sure that non-white people (as a group) are represented sufficiently in schools/universities and that future generations of non-whites are educated. It's a way to achieve equality at an accelerated rate (else either prejudice or socio-economic constraints would make it impossible for non-whites to ascend in society.

Making a system that treats everybody equally requires everybody wanting everyobdy treated equally, which had not been and still is not the case.

i have a cousin who has her dad who is white and mom who is black, so she is half black if you will, that means she is eligable for way scholarships than me. What did she do to deserve those scholarships? she was born to a mother with darker skin than I.

i also have a cousin of a cousin (my cousin's cousin, which we a close to) cant have children, and they adopted one Child from russia (she is white, with blond hair and blue eyes) and another from africa (she is back, with brown eyes) they are sisters who have grown up in the same household, provided with the same provisions. had the same advantages and disadvantages, but when its time for them to go to college, one withhave a signifacantly easier time paying for it. Why? all because one has more melanin than the other.

All national holidays of a country embrace the culture of that country. For example, since France is a country where historically whites were the majority, and make up the main historical figures, all national it's holidays embrace the (white) culture of France.

I'm gonna treat these points together. There is no such thing as 'white culture'. There is no unity between white people. An American is an American, a Brit is a Brit, a Spaniard is a Spaniard. The reason why things like 'black culture' even exists is because white colonialists lumped all black people together based on their skin colour. Those in the US have had their identities totally erased, but in Africa you'll find as much unity amongst black people as you find amongst white people in Europe.

The reason why I was referring specifically to white Americans is because well, all white people in the world are different from eachother, and you have to judge is nationality individually.

There is no hell. Well, some places in the world can already be called that (Somalia for example). It's humans who create hell, and from what I'm seeing, it's usually the ones who are a little too proud in their race/nationality etc.

So you have to ask...  what makes a poor white person not worthy of help when compaired to poor people of other races?

Let alone say... races like Asian people who actually have the stereotype of being BETTER then average when it comes to inellegence.

It's easy to call such systems just when you look at things from the terms of trying to get some numbers of certain categories to line up....

but when you look at the indivdual people effected... it's harder to justify race based polcies.

It gets even trickier when you realize a lot of the people who benefit from race based scholarships are likely middle class or higher, because they are well... more prepaired for economic success since the scholarships just look for people of a certain race who are likely to succeed.

So you often end up with poor people not being able to get into college while rich or middle class people of another race get a free ride.  Are these scholarships largely helping black people rise up in society, or are they being largely used to seperate the Upper and Middle class of black people from the poor?

These reasons are why a lot of people prefer need based funding.  You get money based on your need, no matter who you are.
