We had to settle for Killer Instinct Gold (which was a choppy, stripped down Killer Instinct 2) and Mortal Kombat 4/Trilogy. We were also given the decent Mace: The Dark Ages and the abysmal War Gods. It never got a great traditional RPG. "The Fun Machine" had the best platformers, pro wrestling, Jet Ski, Star Fox, and FPS's on the market. Everything else was done better on the competition. Even the genres that the N64 did best, the competition did almost as well. I pity the gamer that didn't have access to a PS1 between 1997-2000. Even the Gamecube had better support. |
There's Super Smash Bros. but then again you might not consider it a fighting game.
