I hated Oblivion with a passion, but I am loving the look of Skryim.

Well, this is the right feeling because each ES game has its own theme and is treated as independent entity

So that's why there are huge differneces among ES games, someone may like Oblivion better, someone may like Daggerfall better, someone may like Morrowind better, And someone may like Skyrim better, It's just different personal opnion and taste.

That's why Skyrim is TES V not Oblivion 2.0 and Morrowind is not Daggerfall 2.0 too.

and some information in OP are wrong

He said the landscape in Skyrim will be copy-pasta and the game is not out yet

The werewolf and vampire things are not confirmed by Bethesda

From the recent E3 demo, the only things I saw are upgraded combat system, better inverntory screen, 3D-map, more detailed world, better dungeon, better draw distance, more lively town and epic Dragon fight, nothing else

To be fair, I also found the bit about there being no werewolf extremely odd, given that in TES lore, Skyrim is the region where the grand majority of the Lycanthropes are found. Plus there's also a massive clan of vampires on eastern Skyrim as well, according to the lore. It would be very odd to leave the diseases out, especially since Bethesda as kept every TES game as close as possible to it's region's lore.

Also, If you look the bright side you will find skyrim more promising:

Removed factors from previous games: attributes, classes, some minor skills like jump and running;

New features in Skyrim: Perk trees (280 perks), dozens of Dragon shout, some new skills like blacksmithing, cooking, 3D-world map, 3D-inverntory, Dragon fight

The other features: dynamic city economy, 70 voice actors instead of 10 in Oblivion, 8 dungeon designers instead of 1 in Oblivion, new epic creatures like giants and mamoths, more variant landscapes, Longer main questline, 300 ingame books, new conversation system whcih is better than Oblivion...ect

Well, at least some good came out of Oblivion. From the bolded parts, it seems that Bethesda took a long look into the modding community and decided to do those things themselves. Living economy, natural landscapes, martinger's monster mod, midas books and so on seem to be an inspiration for those Skyrim enhancements.

It's good that they differentiate all the games they make, if only all developers could do that.

And the OP is Elder scrolls hater because many "facts" he listed are so wrong:

"game uses slightly modified gamebryo" --

Bethesda claims the game uses brand new engine, I will say the game uses heavily modified gamebryo engine, the draw distance is so much better than Fallout 3 and Oblivion

"speedtree logo on skyrim website" --

I didn't see anything relates to speedtree on Skyrim website and Bethesda claimed Skyrim won't use speedtree;

THis post is full of bullshit

i have an idea!

how about waiting until the game has released and actual reviews turn up!

i know, crazy, huh?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Don't be so rediculous, what would be the point in that?

then again there would be no real point about having arguments for anything.... if we were always waiting on having hard facts to speak..... speculation is fun....

and it's actually when you can see the creative side of people at work.....

Looking through screenshots of Skyrim it looks bland which was my least favourite thing about Oblivion
