I'm disappointed Child Of Eden sold so badly, I'd say I might get it, but I don't have Kinect and I'm no sure if its worth buying without it :/

3DS had a big boost, but still isn't selling that great, needs a lot more software to drive sales

What the hell happend to Shadows of the damned?

I doubt the 3DS increase.

Wii will be down YOY again soon.

PS3 is massively down YOY.

360 marginally down also.

Child of Eden saddens me. Buy it you fools.

buy infamous first.

This is sad, we've basically hit a point in this generation where new or niche IPs can no longer sustain themselves on consoles. Back in 2009, games like WET would release and still continue to sell decently, it was even profitable and a sequel has been listed, but three good games have come out and they've all bombed (Alice, Dungeon Siege and Child of Eden) despite the user-bases of the current consoles being much bigger. People are just sticking to the grounded franchises and the mass marketed titles.

I'd also like to add that the game press are fucked. After E3 all I heard about was how unoriginal every new game is, how everything is an FPS and how games aren't creative enough and when games release that follow the criteria that they wanted, they get criticised for such insignificant and silly things, even though those exact same criticisms aren't held up against major franchises, shooters or heavily marketed games. Alice: Madness Returns is one of the best games I've played this year (I played all the major releases) and it's being attacked for playing like a game and not an interactive movie. When games with significant flaws like Portal 2, L.A. Noire and Crysis 2 get rave reviews, without any of those flaws being brought up in the reviews, then I can only shake my head at how utterly disappointing the gaming press is.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

children of eden very very dissapointing indeed, this was supposed to be a showcase for kinect. imo i think its a DLC game released on retail, should have been £24.99 new

dungeon seaige and alice also dissapointing

I completely agree! But LA Noire was kind of original wasn't it?

L.A. Noire was a horrible game that was bordering on being an interactive movie, it was so easy and pandering that it probably delighted reviewers that they could play the whole thing without dying or failing at all. It also had the standard Rockstar marketing, hype and bias that went along with it, along with Harmonix, Infinity Ward, Valve and Bungie, they are apart of the developer group that rarely ever get low scores, despite all the flaws in their games. Basically, it falls under the 'heavily marketed' category.
