Forums - Sony - IGN: Why Sony won E3

I have to disagree-for me Nintendo have more exclusives at E3 and the Wii U looks more interesting than E3...but each to their own, I suppose. Sony's was alright, but not the 'best' IMO...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

IGN: Why PS3 won E3

Because we refuse to admit the existence of Nintendo, and because Sony's was slightly better than Microsoft's.

It was clearly pointed out why he preferred the Sony conference, that is to say plenty of exclusives aimed at the core userbase.

Obviously everyone has an opinion but at least he detailed why he thinks Sony won.

If you disagree with him that's cool but to say that he was ignoring Nintendo is wrong IMHO.

It seems you have a clear preference for Nintendo which again is perfectly fine but judging by the reactions of most of the gaming sites and gamers it seems apparent that the majority of them were somewhat underwhelmed by Nintendo's showing.

But having said that I can understand why you think Nintendo won E3.

Lol IGN and their flamewars.
do you have to have a "WINNAR!" in an E3? , no one wins and no one loses, gamers win because there is more games to come, IGN can go fuck a duck.

Im pretty sure whoever gets the most attention and has the best presentation wins. Flame war or not. stop being such a party pooper xD

i just dislike IGN, thats all

People can debate who won between sony and nintendo but the fact is sony showed more exclusives (but still barely any) and the wii U underwhelmed. It was a bust of an E3.

Ask me about being an elitist jerk

Time for hype

Nintendo won because they presented a tablet and told people to imagine the games that will play on it in the future

Yes great success

Indeed, people can debate it, and I will debate with anyone who actually made an honest assesment, which includes everyone posting in this thread, but does not include IGN writers.

Sony always show more exclusives than the others because they show games a long way ahead of time. What you saw at E3 was Sony's exclusives for the next 3-4 years and Nintendos for 1-2. The fact that you are more used to companies that announce years in advance is why you think the Wii U underwhelmed. This E3, they announced that the 3DS will have a bigger lineup than any console has ever had in its first year, barring the Wii's (Wii Sports and Wii Play alone make the Wii's lineup the biggest). Next year, they shall talk about the Wii U. Saying that the Wii U underwhelmed is as ridiculous as saying that the PS4 underwhelmed.

SONY WON DUE TO NO SERIOUS COMPETITION

NINTENDO EPIC FAILED THIS YEAR IN MY OPINION !!!
3DS lame 3rd party support(only mgs 3d )
people worldwide found wii u awful and what 's more i think ms was mediocre with no interesting announements
that 's how sony won because IT WAS TOO EASY

This article defeated itself. It characterized winning the hardcore over as the goal of E3, where nothing could be further from the truth.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

If it is so than nintendo won. Look at the mainstream media, they only reported about nintendo and Wii U, and most are excited.

So, what did Sony win, outside of bragging rights companies usually don't think they have?

Do you make this statement every year or only when your favourite company doesn't win?
