but doing this dont they reduce costs alot and probably increase battery life by alot? as long as it can display in 1080 on the tv the remote shouldn't matter. Also ive read from some sites that they saw no drops in quality when switching the screen so the difference is probably not worth caring about, but who knows.

fine by me. I wasn't expecting 1080p outta the thing. Unlike a lot of people who expect the damn thing to crap out diamonds and make them breakfast

I REALLY hope the new console is able to stream to 4 of these, info up till now suggests otherwise - - - Of having lower res = letting there be 4 at the same time then GREAT!

And I hope it's CHEAP enough to buy four of them, if buying three other ones = the price of another console I say F-that-shit!!

And if not, I hope I get to use the four Wiimotes I already got, that'd be just as awesome!! Don't have to buy a bunch of new controllers!!! :D

I suspect the main reasons for this are that the display is cheaper, it reduces the processing power required to render an 3D image to the screen, and reduces the bandwidth to transmit the image, but few people would notice the difference between it and 960x540

If it is good enough to watch Netflix on then it is good enough for me. I probably won't use the feature too much but I am sure I'll try it out a few times.

Just a thought, but maybe they have gone with this screen and res (if this is true) as the screens with higher res are more prone to suffer scratches? (I don't have a smartphone so I don't know)
