I'm guessing $300 and no price announced at this E3. TGS will hold the Japanese launch price and E3 next year will hold the US price announcement.

I love guessing. :)

i think it's too soon to announce a price... but i could be wrong
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
$350, but that won't be announced until they have their Fall or Winter conference
its going to have to be at least $350 if they include that fancy new controller. Given that the 3DS is $250, I can imagine that the Cafe will be at least $100 more.
Most anticipated games of 2011:
Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith
Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D
I hesitated between $300 and $350, ended up choosing the latter due to:
- Japan's strong currency compared to the last gen.
- the unusual launch timeframe (one year before the competition, giving more time for price cuts).
- rumors of strong hardware / fancy controllers.
- it might actually be a bad idea to launch a console cheaper/same price as the competition has (the PS3 is $300 right now). It gives the perception that Nintendo doesn't think it's valuable enough to cost more.
Even with all those reasons there's still a good chance I'm wrong, because jumping from $250 to $350 is quite a lot. And you're probably right that it's too early to announce the price.

...whoever comes closest gets to buy it for that price!
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
