Kids love video games. Sorry, bald man. Video games that can teach is a good idea. I learned tons of historical leaders names, landmarks, places, vocabulary and grammar from Civilization II, as well as planning, and other important skills.

so why is making an educational game or any game for that matter, the respnsibility of the Government.

if there is need and demand for the game it will get funding, privately. government needs to stop giving out money to everything and everyone.

if it cant survive without government assistance its not worth keeping alive

unfortunately we do, and our spending in education has grown exponentially since the 80's yet our test scores are exactly the same. govenrment cant fix problems by just throwing money at stuff.

also our  federal govenrment has no constutional right to get into education, so the feds actually need to stop spending there all together. it is constutionally reguired for us to have a military though (though we should spend less there too, we need to stop nation building)

At a certain point, when there are no longer any social programs, the people that stand to succeed are the ones who are related to successful people, whether those people are talented or not. Programs like these breed competition.

FYI the internet was developed by the gob'ment.

The bald guy is full of strawmen and red herrings it's hilarious.  He doesn't respond to points or questions, he just spouts some 'catchphrase' with a random hyperbole number with an emotional/relatable hook that idiots will fall for.  Call of Duty and SMB1 aren't the type of thing that would get funding.  Dumbest thing I've viewed today.

yep our military, the only thig in our goverment that works.

also do you really think, it would have happened if it werent for goverment?

and programs like these dont breed competition, it picks winners and losers. the goverment gives money to who the deem fit, but then leave other companies/businesses out. who are they to say what should be successesfull or not

exactly, why dont these games not get finding while others do.

also sense the video hasnt worked for me, how do you know what types of games will get funding?

edit: video finally works. any game that is deemed art will get funding. so if call of duty is considered art it will get funding, and whos to say games like that arent art while others are. no art should get funded by federal government

Fox and Friends is not part of the News department, they are news commentators, so yeah, Fox is still fair and ballanced, especially when compared the the likes of NBC and CNN.

At any rate, Like it or not, The US government's ONLY functions, as per the founding documents. Is to protect the inherant human rights of it's citizens, to provide a solidly backed source of currency, and (some would argue contrary to this) to protect it's borders.
