Heres some old plifetime predictions

Looks like most People were predicting

Wii 120-150million

Xbox360 50-70million

PS3 50-70million

roughly wii 50% XBox360 25% PS3 25%, My predictions were a lot closer.

Also I notice in another thread from a couple years ago about the wii

I predicted 2 things

#1 once sales decline with the wii theyre rapidly going to go down

#2 the wii 2 will come out before the other 2 consoles.

Looks like I was right, both counts [smug]

I am not gonna summarize again what has been said on this site;..

They might've (wasn't part of online communities so I wouldn't know personally), but if we did something stupid then you're gonna be idiotic just like us to get back at us? Not seeing the logic here, :P.

Besides, due to my fanboy instincts, I'll be forced to be a hypocrite and bring up those who thought that PS3 would be bigger than life in 2005 again if people start making fun of my poor Wii, ;(.

No. 3rd parties lack of support caused it to have a quicker declining trend that what would be customary in a market leading console.

However, it should have no issue passing PS1 by the time its production is stopped.

I never thought it could from the beginning.  This generation was to fragmented to allow for any console to have PS2 like sales.  Plus the fact that third parties treated the Wii like a disease.

Wii don't need to outsell PS2. Nintendo is king in profitability.

Not to spoil the party here, but right now Wii is selling a tad over 360 and under PS3, so it's not "dead" yet, and there was an article detailling Nintendo console HW/SW sales, and I remember that Wii HW had dropped, but at a slowing rate. So I can't say that it will pass the PS2, but it's not decided already.

People though it would because it had so much potential, but Nintendo (and consequently third parties) blew it up.
