Seriously, this isn't the first or last time a drought has happened. It doesn't mean you should just accept it. But going into histrionics about selling your system is too much, especially when your collection already skips over several very good games.

I may be in the minority since this is a video game forum, but "droughts" have never bothered me before.  Hell, I didn't even notice them when I was a kid.  It is not going to bother me now, and likely not in the future either.  I still have unplayed games sitting in my collection, and I have even more on my wish list.

My suggestion to those of you who are disappointed: Go back and play the games you missed the past few years.  There are bound to be a few.  They will be cheap by now too.

Indeed, apart from 1st party games along the lines of Mario/Zelda, I pay very little attention to release dates. When I have no games to play, have enough time to play games and enough money to buy games then I start looking at what is available.

Nintendo fans, and not only them... the Wii, for god's sake, deserves better.

Jesus fucking Christ on a duck. Go commit sepuuku already if you guys are gonna whine like this instead of waste space here on the VGChartz boards. We have absolutely NO FREAKIN CLUE WHATSOEVER what Nintendo's lineup will be for the 2nd half of the year outside of Zelda. NONE. You honestly believe that Nintendo has revealed everything that will be coming to Wii for the holiday season in a press relase in April?!?!?

Yes this looks not so good for nintendo fans. But at least there is an interesting shooter (conduit 2) and an interesting beat'm up (thor).

But if nintendo doing it right the second part of 2011 could be full of topgames (xenoblade, pikmin 3, the last story, pandoras tower, zelda, etc.). I think in europe we will get Xenoblade in june or july.

On the other side: 2010 was packed with top-wii-games. I guess you have played not even the half of it?

I was mainly disappointed about Nintendo releasing this whole Wii Motion Plus and then not releasing any games for it. Flingsmash and Wii Sports Resort are the only games that have been released by Nintendo in 2 years of release.  That is pretty absurd. Nintendo has no one to blame but themselves.  They could have lifted the Wii back up with lots of good Motion Plus games.  Skyward Sword isn't going to completely rectify this issue.

Wii Play Motion??  Stop messing around with these stupid mini-games already and build a real game.

Star Fox Wii with controls similar to the plane on Wii Sports Resort was a no brainer-- instead we get a Starfox 64 port for the 3DS.  A Haunted Mansion kind of game with Motion Plus could have been great.   

There were a lot of missed opportunities.  This whole 5-year life cycle thing is getting pretty silly, especially when Nintendo is so overstretched trying to make games for 2 consoles that they can't support the 1st and last year of their console properly. 

The Wii has been a lot wasted potential IMO.  Nintendo kept releasing a bunch of peripherals and then never supported them.  I'm so glad I haven't heard any more about this vitality sensor because it to would have joined the waste heap of Wii Fit and Wii Motion.

 Well I am only getting the conduit2, sticking to wiiware for the next few months... that line up is really poor, but thats ok, I just bought my 3ds and so a I am fine, Oot & DOA wii do it for me for this months...

  I hope this lineup means they are saving the last story and xenoblade as E3 announcements, otherwise reggie better get some police protection...
