now this is almost identical situations besides different release dates with Medal of Honor hyped up by EA to be up there with there BF series was given poor reviewers, making EA stock drop 10%. But that game went on to sell a few million.

Homefront is the same boat, they were hyped by THQ to be up there with call of duty but was rated lower and stock dropped 15%. reports saying that Homefront sold 850,000 week one. Will it beat MOH?

Nay, it won't out perform MoH.

I'd be surprised if it hits 2 million on the 360. Don't think it'll happen for PS3.

No I mean even the 360 version of Homefront which should have ~550k according to the article wouldn't beat its MoH counterpart. (2m MAX)

and since the PS3 version is so much behind (probably 250k), it might reach a million when all is said and done.

Definitely profitable for THQ, but it was also never as hyped as MoH and furthermore a new IP. I also think Homefront has quite a bit better campaign.
