If PS3 price cut to US$199,00 sales will explode!!!

I see you also missed all the kinect exclusive's, well they don't have a date for most, so we will see.

I think wii and 360 will take off this holiday season and all sales made by ps3 will be defeated in that time frame.

Ps3 is not smashing the competition. it is in the lead as of now but in past years it has been and then it got outsold later in the year by 360, let alone the wii.

I think Kinect will have a price break as well as the 360 bundles. I also think wii will cut price. Ps3 I'm thinking will to but they need to start thinking about profits, so maybe not by a lot or at a later date then others. I could be wrong.

I'm welling to bet that Kinect will be on fire this coming holiday season. There is definitely going to be games announced this year for it going into christmas.  I would guess some of the games announced at TGS are going to be coming out. This would push the hardcore market onto the device more and casual's are already hooked. Kinect is pushing a lot of good word of mouth. With a price break on top of that. UMM WE HAVE LIFT OFF!

I also think MS has got some other cards they are not showing and MS usually holds there cards well, not all the time.

This site is so predictable. Who going to win? really do we have to do a poll, it will always be ps3 no matter what it is about. Unless it puts the ps3 in a negative light.  I can agree that it does have a good chance but the point of asking anything on this should be common sense. PS3 followed by whatever.

Does it matter when the pricecut was? Not really. It still had one, to go along with its biggest game... Ever. It was still down YoY despite a record breaking Holiday season. If Nintendo wanted to be up YoY they shouldn't have waited to cut... Not my problem. They were still down YoY.

PS3 has been up every Year since it released. It's increased in sales every Year. That's what I'm talking about. The bundles might be "meh" in your eyes, but not everyones. I thought the Wii bundles this Year were "Meh", but look how many they sold. I thought the 360 bundles that included LEGO Indy and Kung Fu Panda were pathetic, but look what they did. They add value to your system. They help. And the new SW releasing isn't all supposed to boost the console. It's supposed to keep the console looking fresh and in the eye of the public. This also matters, as look at what's happening to the Wii now that nobody is currently releasing big, good games for it.

360 hasn't had a pricecut since 2008. It will get one this Year if MS have even half of a brain and know that US doesn't = the World.

USA:  Xbox 360 (And KINECT is fucking awesome!)

Japan and Europe: Playstation 3 (And move is also fucking awesome!)

Overall:  Wii (will do better than PS3 in America and better than Xbox 360 in Japan and Europe--allowing it to sneak in the win)

This is wrong. The PS3 has never, ever been leading over the Wii for the Year. This is the 1st time it's happened.

Leading and then being outsold by the 360 I think happened in 2008. When the 360 got a pricecut at the end of the Year and hit $199 but the PS3 stayed at $399. In 2009 the PS3 outsold the 360 thanks to the Slim/Cut. Then in 2010 the PS3 outsold the 360 again despite the Slim/Halo/Kinect combo. 2011, the PS3 is currently outselling the 360 and the Wii.

How does the time the price cut had effect doesn't have meaning if we are talking about time periods? After the pricecut, the Wii was, I believe, up year on year, but because it only had effect on the last three months of the year, it wasn't able to counterbalance the downing trend the first part of the year had.

The PS3 has been going up just because it was hard to go any lower than it was, so you just can consider the sales it is having now average. I'm not talking about bundles being bad as an internet forum poster, I'm talking about the reality, the business side. Those people that buy the lego and panda games buy them because of the content, they think that the game is going to be as good as the movie and they want to further explore the world of the movie, that's why they sell well, not because they are pathetic in your eyes.

I'm pretty sure a pricecute wouldn't help the Xbox 360 a lot in EMEAA, in some months the effect would wear down and then they would start the losses again. And Japan the effect would just be LOL.

From what I recall, Kinect costs about $60 to produce and retails for about $150.  What would happen if M$ decided to sell a $200-$250 Kinect bundle?  It's not beyond the realm of possibility.

Predictible as hell, PS3 will likely win in 2075 when gaming is dead...

At any rate, it'll be the Wii. Every year people deny its selling power through the holiday period and try to portray the console in a negative light...

I think that, as long as Nintendo release Zelda this year (100% chance), localise some Japanese only games (70% chance), cut the price (80% chance), release some awesome new games (95% chance) and advertise the hell out of the console (80% chance), it's likely te Wii will be first going into Christmas WW, and end up a few million ahead of the other two consoles. If not, then I reckon the Wii will still finish first, but it will be far closer, say, only by a million...

BAsically, the way I see it, as long as the Wii is within 3 million of the PS3 WW and 2 and a half million of the 360 WW going into the last 10 weeks of the year, it'll be the best selling console. We're nearly a third of the way through the year already, that looks almost guaranteed
