This thread turned into another battle in the never ending war between the loyal fans of Sony and Microsoft. And this battle didn't (won't) leave any party stronger of weaker. I do belive, however, that some people left this thread more stupid.

No. It's no longer a 360 Exclusive because it's no longer exclusive to the 360. It's a Multiplat. Years go by, and people still can't accept what is and isn't an exclusive game... |
What difference does it make that it went to PC a year later? Games like gears of War and Fable 3 sold most of their console sales as 360 exclusives. They went to PC (another MS plaform) for scraps a year later...all sales while exclusives are now disqualified?
Like I see what you're saying, but your stuck on a technical term and not logical common sense.
Halo 1 and Halo 2 sales shouldn't be counted towards Xbox 1 exclusives then. Even though they were the whole reason to get the system in the first place and moved more units than all other exclusives combined.

That's how the list would look if you strictly did PS3 or 360 exclusive. |
Forza is exclusive and you're missing Kinect Adventures just like the OP.

That is where you are wrong. The thread is clearly labeled, PS3 vs Xbox360 exclusive sales. Therefore, the game has to be exclusive to the 360, in order to be counted. It does not matter if it is not on the ps3, it still is not an exclsuive to the 360, seeing as it can be played on multiple platforms.

Regardless, this is about exclusive games sales. When a game ceases to be exclusive to a platform, it is no longer exclusive. It is not a hard concept. The sales of those games do not matter anymore because this is about exclusive sales, not multiplat sales.

They're Multiplats. Not exclusives.
As soon as Microsoft decide to take the Xbox Exclusive and put it on the PC... That game is a Multiplat. It's on multiple platforms. It's a Multiplat.
Halo 1 and 2 were Multiplats, they just had an exceptional console presence. It's kinda like Half Life 2. It's a multiplat, but it had a huge difference in sales between PC and Xbox. It's not a PC exclusive, it's a Multiplat.
It's like with Mass Effect 2... It was a Multiplat from release, it didn't become a Multiplat when the PS3 version released.
If you want to count sales of games before they became Multiplats, I can't argue with that one... But my point is that games released on 2 platforms or more, aren't exclusives.

We are not here discussing what constitutes an exclusive game, but sales of games as exclusives. Mass Effect 2 obviously isn't a 360 exclusive game as it came out on PC and 360 at the same time and didn't get any sales while it was exclusive only to 360.
Gears of War and Fable 3 however were sold to gamers as exclusives for a year or more, and have gathered majority of their sales as 360 exclusives. Just because Ms decided to port them some time later doesn't change the fact that those games got their console sales while they were exclusive to 360.
Technical term of "exclusive game" is completely different from discussing game sales while exclusives to a platform.
So does that mean, say MLB is not exclusive because it's on the ps3 and psp because it's on more than one platform? But that's different right?
I consider MLB exclusive like I consider gears 1 exclusive because you still need to play MLB on a sony platform like you need to play gear 1 on a MS platform.
Fable 3 should still be on there because it's not on the PC till later if your going to be technical about it.

So should i add ff13 to the ps3 list even though it came later on the xbox 360!
Even once FF13 versus comes out and it will most likely make the list I'm not gonna put it up becuase it's on the pc as well!
But by the end of the Year we should see GT5 at about 8 million UC3 should also get around 3.5million in it's first 2 months. Gears 3 should also enter the list in about a couple weeks
