They're Multiplats. Not exclusives.

As soon as Microsoft decide to take the Xbox Exclusive and put it on the PC... That game is a Multiplat. It's on multiple platforms. It's a Multiplat.

Halo 1 and 2 were Multiplats, they just had an exceptional console presence. It's kinda like Half Life 2. It's a multiplat, but it had a huge difference in sales between PC and Xbox. It's not a PC exclusive, it's a Multiplat.

It's like with Mass Effect 2... It was a Multiplat from release, it didn't become a Multiplat when the PS3 version released.

If you want to count sales of games before they became Multiplats, I can't argue with that one... But my point is that games released on 2 platforms or more, aren't exclusives.

We are not here discussing what constitutes an exclusive game, but sales of games as exclusives.  Mass Effect 2 obviously isn't a 360 exclusive game as it came out on PC and 360 at the same time and didn't get any sales while it was exclusive only to 360.

Gears of War and Fable 3 however were sold to gamers as exclusives for a year or more, and have gathered majority of their sales as 360 exclusives. Just because Ms decided to port them some time later doesn't change the fact that those games got their console sales while they were exclusive to 360.

Technical term of "exclusive game" is completely different from discussing game sales while exclusives to a platform.
