If he wanted Linux that bad, he should have just gone and bought a cheap netbook that comes with Linux on it. Oh wait, that's not ALL he wanted on PS3. Or else he wouldn't be getting sued for a million bucks.

*sigh* why do both groups have to make such a fuss in these threads? Please both sides need to stop acting like the other side of these cases are the devil, Sony is a corporation, they want their money, this guy isn't working on piracy, therefore this case should not exist Sony needs to nab the actual pirates -_- but even if the suit is being directed to the wrong people it's just Sony pulling a Dick Cheney, they're aiming for the pirates (quail) and hit the modders (their friend, AKA the guys that they can hire to improve PS3 security)

I totally agreee that the victims of the terrible earthquake in Japan are in more immediate need.

If you can afford it, please consider donating a little to both causes. Take into consideration that the current consumer rights issues (including Sony's bullying of homebrew developers AND consumers) will continue to exist long after help has been provided to the people in Japan.

"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Our customers are very important to us." -Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb (10/2013). Note: RRoD was fixed with the Jasper-revision 3 years after the launch of 360

"People don't pay attention to a lot of the details."-Yusuf Mehdi explaining why Xbone DRM scheme would succeed

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360,”-Don Mattrick
