why are we blaming this on the PC community? from reading user reviews it seems people on all platforms are finding a lot to hate, in fact it seems like PS3 users are the ones that are really tearing the game a new one, and the PC version has the most positive user reviews.

There's always someone to blame.

It's less troublesome to blame the PC community. No one ever disagrees.

lol this made my day brilliant stuff here.

We'll see if they dumb down Diablo3...

What's to dumb down?!

I played the game a lot since i got it yesterday and i don't see how its dumbed down. At least now you actually have to play well in order to beat some encounters, not like in DA1 where i didn't have to use a single potion my first time through and i switched to nightmare when i got Morrigan (probably the easiest RPG i ever played).

This game has more difficult combat and i didn't like the old inventory and craft systems, both are better now. Only thing "dumbed" down is that you cannot equip your squad with armor, but maybe thats not such a bad thing. In DA1 you usually stuck with the same squad members for the game more or less, i found my self switching around more now.

All of this comes from a very seasoned DA player who has completed the first game for PC 8 times.

Everybody who says this game sucks i dare you to go back and play DA1 now and you will see its pretty much the same game, just in a more stylish package with smoother combat (biggest bottleneck of the first since it was both clumsy and too easy).

That said, i don't know what the hell happened to the graphics, i play on directx 11 setting with very high on everything and i found the game to look worse than pretty much every other game i played on PC this past year except for Fallout New Vegas. Its also plagued with bugs but so was the first.

Why are the PC boys so uppity with this game?

Because it is said that the game was "dumbed down" for consoles.

that isn't true, while the console versions play like a hack and slash, the PC version plays exactly like the old game.

"Despite what you may have heard, Dragon Age II on PC does not have the same tactical pause-and-play combat as its predecessor. The battle system is essentially ported straight from the console iterations."

I , my eyes, my PC, my fingers and This video say otherwise.

unless that thing is only in the demo? =[

I believe they're referring to the ability to issue orders while paused, not the ability to pause during battle.

wow funny how users exagerate about a score come on a 3?

hm, well the demo had no tactic abilities so i never knew.

Yes because ragin' on the user reviews of a game on Metacritic will have a large impact on the developer, sales and critic reviews will, those are most likely to be alright to justify Bioware continue what they do with the next iteration.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.
