Why do you people insist on judging whether or not a game is underperforming based on forums posts from fanboys? I simply cannot understand why some of you see this as a valid measure of whether or not a game is succesful. Wii Fit is an unqualified success and potential phenomenon but fell millions short of John Lucas' prediction. Clearly it is a failure for selling 90% of its stock for 3 weeks straight!
The lifetime sales goal for the game, as stated by Capcom, is 620k. It is already within spitting distance of that number and is not slowing down all that much. The game is exceeding the expectations of the people responsible for funding it. It is doing anything but underperforming. |
You are right, it is clearly on track to meet the expectations of Capcom. But many people - including myself - expected more. Don't forget, Capcom predicted 400K for RE4Wii, and it was going far beyond it. So I was thinking, if a remake can sell a million copies, it should be easy for a new title of this series. So it missed my expectations.
