Forums - Gaming Discussion - What game do you need to complete to earn the "hardcore" title?

Ghouls n' Ghosts?

Battle Toads?

We need a title as a test before people are given the hardcore license.

You need to beat Wii Sports to be "hardcore".

Yup, get all Platinum medals and you're hardcore for me.

Above: still the best game of the year.

Beat Metroid Prime 2: Echoes on GameCube on Hard Mode and get 100% scans/items.

I did it.

one can't call themselves hardcore unless they complete the pokedex, on all generations

Actually

Without cheats complete at least 5 of:

compete in the GSL (top SC2 comp in Korea ) or at least get into and stay in the Masters league

finish 2 player battle toads by using a controller in each hand

finish Contra on the NES without the Konami code

get all Steam achievements in Team Fortress 2

beat Bejeweled 2

Finish Hell in DIablo 2 on hardcore mode single player

Platinum Gran Turismo 5

get to, and finish 'Master Mode' on Super Monkey Ball

get Big Boss rating in all MGS games that offer it

catch them all in a Pokemon game from each generation

complete Ninja Gaiden on the NES

complete all NES Mega Man games

complete Ikaruga on hard with 1cc

finish I wanna be the guy twice to prove it wasn't a fluke

win x-com terror from the deep on super human

finish all fire emblem games on the hardest difficulty without losing a single person

hold the world record in Pac-Man, Space invaders or Donkey Kong

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

In my dictionary, being hardcore is not about achievements of any kind. Is just about an attitude toward gaming, regardless the trends. It doesn't matter what genres you like and play. It doesn't matter if you are the best shot in town or you try really hard but you simply suck. It's about passionately loving what you are doing and not being afraid to try it harder.
