Just defeated Alatreon!

I must say...this is my first time >.<

Helping out the rookies and getting them to a respectable rank took a lot longer than expected. Well, I have 1 week free before holiday and work to catch up on what I missed!

Congrats!! Can you share what you used for armour and weapons and items etc?

I have a doubt... I was looking for information about the HP of each monster in the game and then I found a very interesting MH3 DB (http://divinewh.im/). But each monster has 4 HP values (even for the offline quests). For example, for a Diablos in the quest "The_Horned_Dragon" (http://divinewh.im/q/v/The_Horned_Dragon) the site says "HP: 3000 / 3250 / 3500 / 3750 / 4000" but what is true value of a Diablos HP?

I think that what it means is that you could fight any of the five Diablos with any of the HP values. So one time, you could fight a Diablos with 3250 HP, but the next time you try "A Horned Dragon," the Diablos could have 4000 HP. BTW, the base HP of Diablos is 5000 (http://divinewh.im/m/Diablos).

In "A Horned Dragon," Diablos' size is 100% (normal), with a standard deviation of plus or minus 6%. Its defense and stagger limits are 100% (normal). Basically, the Diablos in "A Horned Dragon" is a normal Diablos with decreased starting HP.

@Conegamer: Congrats! Did you fight Ala alone? I'm curious to know what armor you wore, too. Hey, I got past my urgent, too, so now it's Jho time!

You said it just as well as I ever could!

My armour? Rathalos set, and that was a poor choice. It did give me Attack Up (M) and heat resistance, and I used Dragonblight seeds or whatever they are to get the resistance up to 0. I also had defence up (M) and the Armourgem, and also the Powergem and the Armorskin and Dragonjuice (both mega). Also had a horn for both as well. In a team of 3, 27mins. All new people to do it as well!

New US hunter here!
Still very much a newb, but I'd be happy to tag along and learn from some of the more experienced hunters while I power up in single-player.

This game is EPIC!! I love how the environments are so unique and diverse! Every little niche is something else. I can't say I've played an HD game where the world feels as real as this one.

Also the Monster behaviors are constantly keeping me on my toes so far, which is such a refreshing change from Twilight Princess' Bosses and the like! The huge insects kinda creep me out though, but in a good way

If there's a rookie squad trying to organize a hunting party, I'd be happy to take part!

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

Thanks, I never thought about these (almost) randon HP values.

You could join me and entilzha on the weekends and we could help you.  We both have Wii Speak and could give you some pointers.  We usually meet every Sat and Sun at 6pm central.

ANYONE interested in the EU server? There was only two of us. We cried

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Hey Flashpoint, it was great fun playing with you last night. I think the three of us make a good team since we are all around the same level. It would be great if you could join us on Tuesday night at 6pm central time. I know the three of us can take down a Jho, but we need to be careful about how much poisoned, drugged, or tinged meat we use. If he eats the same meat again, he just recovers stamina. So one piece of each type is all we should use. Sleep bombing him works well, so we should all bring bombs and let him have it then. I only need a few more parts to complete my Jho armour, so he is high on my list right now.

Conegamer, am I right about the meat, or am I missing something? Also, please add flashpoint to our American Server group.

Post your ID here and I can hunt with you when we both have the time. I have lower ranked armour and weapons that I could use to make it more fun for us. That way, we both have to make an effort and not take too many chances.
