I can't say I'm surprised with the Wii numbers really. Fully expected that...

Shocked at the PS3 numbers. Really thought it would be below or around 1 Million.

Microsoft was smart in developing Kinect.  They followed in Nintendo footsteps, they came up with a control system that is new and innovative (at least in the public's perception), instead of just an upgraded copy of an already popular control system.  Kudos.  They are now enjoying the reward$, a very healthy YoY increase.

Did you look at Epic and DK numbers from VGchartz? 

yeah.. but they're 5th and 6th in the NPD multiplatform charts, adn both at leat above 1.2 million?

well it's number 3 and number five in the individual charts respectively. though i didnt account for the inclusion of Wii sports, WSR, and NSMb in the VGC list and all were bundled...

but i did read in one of the posts that  10 in the multiplatform charts was 1.2 million.

 

Anyways im off to bed. Not the huge meltdowns we saw last year, but nice to see DK adn Epic mickey performing. Good night

I seriously thought Sony was going to get murdered in Dec especially after November, I guess the lack of 360 on stock help the PS3.

yep, stock issues suck...early last yearps3 had em, now PSp has a huge issue in Jp and now it's 360's turn I guess. Hope all problems get solved soon

and vgchartz is all of the americas

does vgchartz track the us separately?

They track all america's but they take out US numbers when comparing to NPD.
