The poll's and thread's argument is flawed, because Tekken indeed was, but isn't anymore, an effective antidote. The new antidote DS-specific was Cooking Mama, but it loses efficacy on 3D screens, while the best antidote known is currently a Giant Enemy Crab (*), but alas it has two flaws: first, it's a Sony exclusive, so Ninty should hope Sony is willing to licence it, second it takes 1 2 3 years to start becoming effective and it isn't known yet after how much time it becomes fully effective (although it's well known that the complete therapy requires a 10 years cycle).

(*) Beware that giant surimi imitations won't do.

Yes... Vita needs Tekken ASAP... maybe it's not enough, because Vita has been launched with Ridge Racer AND Uncharted, as PS3...

According to my knowledge of Tekken, a new game will probably come out somewhere in the world by early 2013. If the Vita is powerful enough to have it ported over, that could do the trick. Still, this means the first year should be rough.

In my day all it used to take was Tekken to counter the ridge racer effect , now it's Tekken plus a price drop , so the scenarios are (1) Handhelds are doomed  (2) ridge racer curse has grown in strength and Tekken can no longer contain it or (3) Namco have woken up to the fact that release ridge racer is cursed and blackmailed Nintendo by finding a clause in their contract that allowed them to bundle it with every 3Ds ,Nintendo who now not only had to make a price cut but pay Namco huge bickies had as can be seen in their financial's a big drop in profits , but being crafty they finally realised all they had to do was money hat Capcom  and that = curse broken , 3Ds saved plus Vita trounced talk about Win Win .
