So what's gonna happend now... a Tekken game was annouced for 3DS and a Ridge Racer game for PSVita

Sorry for the late reply, I only remembered this thread after seeing a trailer for Ridge Racer Vita.

It's pretty clear that Tekken saved the 3DS. It's going to be released next month, so soon enough (within one year) to counter the Ridge Racer curse. Of course, the 3DS was struggling in its early life due to the uncertainty surrounding a Tekken 3DS game. But shortly after word got around that one is coming, 3DS sales started to pick up (sometime in August 2011).

Now all eyes are on the PlayStation Vita and it really doesn't look good for Sony's handheld. The Ridge Racer launch title has already done some serious damage to the reputation of the portable console and there's no Tekken in sight. A Street Fighter/Tekken crossover isn't going to do the trick, obviously.

I say it's time that Sony moneyhats Namco-Bandai to make a Tekken game for the PS Vita. That is, if Sony actually wants their newest system to be saved.

In my day all it used to take was Tekken to counter the ridge racer effect , now it's Tekken plus a price drop , so the scenarios are (1) Handhelds are doomed  (2) ridge racer curse has grown in strength and Tekken can no longer contain it or (3) Namco have woken up to the fact that release ridge racer is cursed and blackmailed Nintendo by finding a clause in their contract that allowed them to bundle it with every 3Ds ,Nintendo who now not only had to make a price cut but pay Namco huge bickies had as can be seen in their financial's a big drop in profits , but being crafty they finally realised all they had to do was money hat Capcom  and that = curse broken , 3Ds saved plus Vita trounced talk about Win Win .
