You'll be waiting forever... 3DS is already about as small as DS Lite, if we see a 3DS revision, it'll be bigger (ie: 3DS XL). |
Meh. Either way, I'm waiting for a revision.

Still think you'll be waiting for a long time...
That's actually a lot for a console these days. I remember the ps3's 80k first shipment in NA, which was still well under a million two months later. 360 was something like a 400k worldwide initial shipment, with heavy shortages for half a year.
Granted, this is a handheld, but it's not all that shocking.
It's true, they will be sold out within a week. Nintendo sure likes to create shortages, and in turn incredible word of mouth and greater demand.
The initial shipment will be sold out the very first day in all regions IMO. I really hope my preorder secures me one.
I find these to be pretty respectable numbers. I'm still sure it's going to sell out very quickly, but isn't this the most shipped in the first month for a console ever??
When r the JAP and Western release dates anyway?
I'm really interested in one of these things. But I need a good excuse for getting one, such as being on the road away from home a lot, which I am not.

Japanese launch is on February 26th, others have yet to be dated. There will be 3DS events like the one in Japan in America and Europe this or next week where launch date, price and lineup will be officially announced. |
Cool. What was the rumored price again, 250 $/Euro or $300 $/Euro?
Umm, are we not talking about a $300 handheld? Am I the only person who thinks that this price is going to give MANY parents a WTF when asked to fork out that kind of money?
