Forums - Nintendo Discussion - DKC Returns is TOO HARD

I play Ikaruga. I'm not skerd of anything. The OP is just too soft for "real" gaming.

Kindly STFU. I've beaten the *spoiler* Golden Temple and unlocked mirror mode which is probably further than most of you idiots telling me I suck at games got. The game is far from impossible, I just don't appreciate all the cheap deaths and trial and error. It detracts from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

I can tell most of you guys didn't read the OP.

Bumping this because i didn't want to make a new topic for this observation, but did anyone else think that 8-K was way way easier than 1-K?

That's just the impression you got, because by the time you reach 8-K you've practiced your skills to the point that everything seems to be much easier than during the first few hours of playtime. Play both levels in mirror mode and you'll see that 8-K is the harder level out of these two.

Regarding my question to Resident_Hazard, I've found the answer coincidently in a thread from 2008. He really is claiming that Metroid Prime 3 is dumbed down based solely on the normal difficulty setting which is an easy mode that wasn't present in the first two games. Normal in Metroid Prime and Echoes is the equivalent to veteran in Corruption, but he barely touched that (didn't even play up to Mogenar).

Claiming that a game is easy based on easy mode... well, that's not conclusive proof.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

I think including different difficulty settings is lame :/, specially if you have to unlock them

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

I have been playing this game for a while. Its not too difficult. Sure I have died a bunch of times but I dont know what people are complaining about.

Great game.

Not really. I found the level design moderately hard, but the ease of gaining lives far outweighed this, making it the easiest DKC, at least for me.

So true. Sometimes I just wanted to play in the hardest setting, but no, I have to unlock it first :/

Above: still the best game of the year.

Having 90 lives even though you've died 200 times does not make a game easy.

Not really. I only unlocked 1-K after beating through world 8, then went backwards to get all the letters. Did world 1, beat 1-K, then went straight to world 8, cleaned it out, and did 8-K, so i was comparing them within a day of each other, and i had a much harder time adapting to 1-K's demands than 8's
