- With 3.8m Wiis sold in the USA in Dec 2009 (by NPD), 3m in Dec 2010 would still amount to a large (20% ) drop off.
- Wii also ended up more than quintupling (5.5x) its Oct sales level in Nov sales in the USA, rather than doing the usual x2 to x3, and so a larger than normal x2 increase from Nov-Dec, ala last year, is likely for Nov 2010 to December 2010.
Last year was 520k - 1260k (x2.5)- 3810k (x3) for Wii by NPD, this year looks more like 232k - 1270k (x5.5) -3100k (x2.4). With at least two of five weeks seeing strong promotions, and Wii higher than we initially expected (200k ) in November its not not impossible for a 3.5m (!) December again.
